  2. Peel, wash and slice onions.
  3. Finely chop garlic pieces.

  5. Now add chopped onions and saute it till they change to light brown colour.
  6. Now drain all water from split gram and add it to pan and saute it till it get slightly roasted.
  7. Now add salt, red chilli powder, black pepper and mix well. Add rice and water and mix them all. Cover with lid and let it cook on medium low flame for 15 mins.
  8. After 15 mins check if rice are cooked well.
  9. Serve hot with curd.
