- Make ready 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Prepare Pinch asafoetida
- Make ready 1 tsp Kashmiri mirchi powder
- Prepare 1/4 cup water
- Get as required Oil
- Make ready as per taste Salt
Steps to make Bedmi Poori:
- For Bedmi Poori - In a bowl add Urad Dal, red chilli powder, green chilli, turmeric powder, Aamchur powder, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds and make a coarse paste.
- In a bowl add wheat flour, suji and 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, urad dal coarse paste, oil, salt, water as per need and make a soft dough.
- Make balls and with a rolling pin roll into pooris. Set aside. In a wok heat oil and fry the pooris one by one. Set aside
- For Aloo Rasa - boil potatoes in a pressure cooker on 4 whistles. Cool, drain and peel. Cut roughly and set aside.
- In a wok heat oil add asafoetida, add potatoes, whole red chilli, green chilli. Stir for 2-3 mins. Add chopped tomatoes stir for 2-3 mins.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dry kasoori methi, Kashmiri mirchi powder. Stir for 1-2 mins. Add water and stir. Add salt. Stir. The consistency should be semi thick. Set aside
- Plate with tea or coffee and some cut limes, onions, tomatoes and green chilli and enjoy
