Steps to make Arhar dal ki khichdi:
- First collects all ingredients. Wash dal and rice properly.
- Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a cooker,add cumin seeds, hing, ginger and green chillies on low flame. Mix well.
- Add dal, rice, mix well.
- Add potato, tomato, turmeric powder and salt.Mix well.
- Add water, mix well. Cover with the lid. Cook on low medium flame for one whistles. Turn off the flame. Let it cool down. Now open the lid, add chopped coriander leaves.
- For tadka–Take a small pan, heat 1tbsp ghee, cumin seeds, hing and red chilli, when crackles, turn off the flame, pour over the khichdi. Arhar dal ki khichdi is ready to serve with curd, papad and salad. Enjoy!!!
