  16. Make ready 1 teaspoon paneer masala
  17. Get 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  18. Get 1 tablespoon khova or mava
  19. Take 1 tablespoon dhaniya/coriander leaves chopped finely
  20. Get 1 tablespoon desi ghee or oil or butter
Steps to make Shahi Matar Paneer:
  1. Make a paste of onion, garlic, cashews and elaichi in a blender
  2. Heat 1 teaspoon of ghee in a pan and add onion - cashew paste and cook for 2 minutes
  3. Add tomato, ginger paste and cook until golden, stirring continuously.
  4. Add khova and cook for some time till you get a nice aroma of khova.
  5. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cinnamon powder and kasuri methi leaves and mix well.
  6. Add peas and half cup of water give a whistle in pressure cooker.
  7. When pressure is released open the lid.
  8. To this mixture add paneer cubes, paneer masala and cream and stir, now add milk.
  9. When it comes to a boil add the garam masala
  10. Stir and cook for a minute and switch off the flame.
  11. Transfer the mixture to a dish and sprinkle some coriander.
  12. Serve it hot with any type of Indian breads like naan, lachha parantha, chapati
