- Get 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Get 1 tablespoon khova or mava
- Take 1 tablespoon dhaniya/coriander leaves chopped finely
- Get 1 tablespoon desi ghee or oil or butter
Steps to make Shahi Matar Paneer:
- Make a paste of onion, garlic, cashews and elaichi in a blender
- Heat 1 teaspoon of ghee in a pan and add onion - cashew paste and cook for 2 minutes
- Add tomato, ginger paste and cook until golden, stirring continuously.
- Add khova and cook for some time till you get a nice aroma of khova.
- Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cinnamon powder and kasuri methi leaves and mix well.
- Add peas and half cup of water give a whistle in pressure cooker.
- When pressure is released open the lid.
- To this mixture add paneer cubes, paneer masala and cream and stir, now add milk.
- When it comes to a boil add the garam masala
- Stir and cook for a minute and switch off the flame.
- Transfer the mixture to a dish and sprinkle some coriander.
- Serve it hot with any type of Indian breads like naan, lachha parantha, chapati
