Prepare Duck: Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Pat dry with a paper towel and sprinkle both sides with salt, pepper, and rosemary. Rub seasoning into slits on the skin. After the original dinner, there was both duck and sauce leftover, so a couple of nights later we made a duck, arugula and fig pizza.

  4. Add to a pot with the ingredients of sauce part II. Simmer 20 minutes.
  5. Add to a blender both parts of the sauce. Blend till smooth. Thin with water if to thick. Chill in the refrigerator overnight.
