- Wash the fish then marinate it with salt and turmeric powder.
- Make the thick paste of mustard powders and poppy seed paste, then place that raw fish in a bowl which has proper lid. Pour the paste and grated coconut along with sliced green chillies and ample of mustard oil on the fish, mix well.
- Cover the lid and put the bowl in a big vessel which is filled with water to steam the fish and cover for 35 mins.
- After 35mins open the lid drizzle some mustard oil and serve hot with basmati rice
