The ingredients needed to make Kalonji Paneer:
  1. Take 400 gms Paneer cut into med sized rectangular
  2. Make ready 3 tbsp mustard oil
  3. Make ready 1/4 tsp kalonji seeds
  4. Make ready 1 tsp garlic paste
  5. Take 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  6. Get 1 tbsp onion paste
  7. Take 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. Take 1 tbsp dhaniya powder
  9. Get 1 tbsp dahi
  10. Make ready 1 tsp fresh cream
  11. Take 1 tbsp kaju paste
  12. Make ready As per taste Salt
  13. Take 1 tsp butter or desi ghee,
  14. Get 3 green chilli cut lengthwise
  15. Get 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
Instructions to make Kalonji Paneer:
  1. Firstly soak paneer in warm water with lil salt, keep aside.
  2. Take oil in a wok, heat it.
  3. Add kalonji seeds, let it splutter.
  4. Now add ginger garlic paste, add lil water, stir fry it for a while.
  5. Add onion paste, also add little water, stir fry it for a while.
  6. Lower the flame now, cover it with the lid, cook it until brown. Stir in between.
  7. Now add red chilli powder & dhania powder, add lil water also. Cook it at moderate flame till oil separates. Add salt also.
  8. Mix dahi & cream, add it to the masala, stir it for a while.
  9. Now add kaju paste, give a stir.
  10. Lower the flame now, cover it with the lid, cook it till oil separates.
  11. Now add garam masala powder, give a stir.
  12. Increase the flame now, add paneer pcs, stir fry it very gently. Add green chilli, give a stir.
  13. Add 1/2 cup boiled water so as to keep the dish a lil dry.
  14. Lower the flame now, cover it with the lid, cook it for 10-15 minutes or till gravy becomes thick.
  15. Turn off the flame now, open the lid after a while.
  16. Take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped dhania patta.
  17. Have it with Nan.
