- Slowly it thickens after 20 or so mins add one cup of sugar. Once the sugar is added it gets little bit liquid consistency and again it starts getting thicker. Keep stirring
- In an another pan, add half cup of sugar and stir it well until it caramelised and immediately add that caramelised sugar to the halwa. You can notice a visible colour change
- Keep stirring for another 20 mins until is thicker and starts separating from the pan
- Add ghee two tablespoons at a time and keep stirring until ghee separates from the halwa
- At this point add fried cashews and give one final stir ! The whole process might take 1 hour 45 mins approximately
- After it cools it will gets a little more thicker and the halwa is ready to serve !!
