The ingredients needed to make Sooji dahi bhalle with crispy papdi:
- Get 2 cup Semolina
- Get 2 cup Curd
- Prepare 1 Green chilli chopped
- Get To taste Salt
- Take pinch Baking soda
- Make ready As needed Oil for frying
- Take 1/2 cup maida/All purpose flour
- Prepare As needed Imli (tamarind)meethi chutney
- Take as needed mix fruits (grapes, Banana, pomegranate)
- Prepare 1 tsp chat masala
- Get to taste black salt
- Prepare 1/2 tsp black pepper Powder
- Take 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Get 1/4 tsp Hing/asafoetida
Remove the diamond shaped patterns and deep fry them in hot oil till crisp and golden browned. These are deep fried fritters made with lentils. If the oil is cold, it will soak a lot of oil. So medium heat is what it needs to be.
Instructions to make Sooji dahi bhalle with crispy papdi:
- Take semolina in a bowl and add 1 cup of curd to it then mix it well. Add 1 table spoon salt,1 chopped green chillies and 1/4 table spoon hing.Mix all the ingredients well.Keep the batter aside for 15 minutes to set. After 15 mins batter will be ready to make bhalle. Now add less then half table spoon baking soda in it and mix well.
- For making papdi:Mix 1cup suji with half cup of maida. Add half table spoon salt in it.use water as your need.prepare a dough. Roll slightly thick as of poori.using a glass cut small round puri.prick the papdi with a fork to prevent from puffing up. Fry the papdi in medium hot oil. Fry on low to medium flame till they turn crispy and golden in colour. Drain of the papdi over tissue paper to absorb excess oil.
- Put kadie on flame to heat oil put the gas to medium flame and gently slide the bhalle into oil. Turn the bhalla when it has turned golden brown from one side and fry till they become golden brown on both sides.
- Perform same process with all the remaining batter.now take the bhalla and put them in a bowl of normal warm water so that they become soft and fluffy. The oil from them gets drained out into water. After some time squeeze and drain out the water from bhalla.
- Keep 4 bhalle along with papdi in a plate pour some curd over the bhalle followed by imli chutney. Now sprinkle some chat masala,black salt Black pepper,garam masala into dahi bhalle.. add some fruits Also in it like banana,grapes, pomegranate etc.Now our dish is ready.
