- Heat oil in pan. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper and saute for 30 secs.
- Add onions and saute till it turns transparent and then add ginger garlic paste.
- Add chopped tomatoes.
- Now add red chilli powder, salt, cumin powder, Garam masala, haldi powder and cook for a minute.
- Now soaked rice. mix it well.
- Now add soked dal and cook on slow.
- Add 2 cup hot water. - Cover the lid and cook on slow flame for 10-15.
- Serve it with raita.
