- Get 100 gms moong dal
- Make ready 100 gms Mixed vegetable (corn,carrot,bean, green peas)

This irresistible Mixed Vegetable Dal is a chock-full of nutritious vegetables like kaddu, gavarfali and baingan along with a combination of toovar and masoor dals, which makes a wholesome meal in its own right. Instead of cooking the vegetables in oddles of oil, we have cooked them in water to reduce the use of oil, and to retain more of the nutrients. Add the sugar and mix well. (Remember that the sautéing process has to be on medium flame so the whole spices, onion and vegetables do not burn. Now Stir in the cooked dal and season with salt if needed and allow the Dal to come to light simmer.
Instructions to make Mix Vegetable Dal:
- Take pressure cooker and pour dal,water (water is half inch above the dal).close the lid and cook for 3 whistles. Let it cool and remove the lid. Dal is boiled
- Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds and stir,than garlic, green chilli and saute until golden brown.
- Now add ginger paste, turmeric powder, and stir for few minutes until fragrant.Add salt and mix well. Add Cooked dal and mix well.
- Add all vegetables and saute for 2 minutes,you can add any veggies of your choice.
- Add red chilli powder, garam masala powder,water for desired consistency, bring it to nice boil.add coriander leaves.
- Mixed vegetable dal is ready to serve. Sprinkle chaat masala and cashew for garnishing.
