The ingredients needed to make Falahari Limbuwada Chaat:
- Get For outer covering-
- Take 3 boiled big potatoes
- Prepare 1 whole lemon (juice)
- Get to taste Salt
- Take 2 tbsp butter
- Get For stuffing mixture
- Make ready 1 cup grated paneer (100 gm)
- Prepare 2 tbsp freshly grated coconut
- Take 1/4 cup roasted peanuts coarse powder
- Take 2-3 tbsp cashewnuts- raisins pieces
- Make ready 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
- Take 2 tsp sugar powder
- Prepare 1 tbsp green chillies ginger paste
- Get 1/2 tsp garam masala(optional)
- Get 1 tsp white sesame seeds
- Take For batter
- Take 100 gms arrowroot flour
- Make ready 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Get to taste rock salt
- Prepare as required Oil for frying
- Prepare To make potato strips
- Prepare 1 big potato
- Prepare other ingredients to make chaat-
- Take as required Khajur sweet chutney
- Get as required Whisk fresh curd
- Prepare as required Finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
Steps to make Falahari Limbuwada Chaat:
- Peel boiled potatoes and mash in mixing bowl. Add lemon juice, butter and salt. Mix well to make smooth dough. Keep aside.
- To prepare stuffing–In mixing bowl add grated paneer, coconut, peanuts coarse powder, cashewnuts & raisins pieces, chopped coriander leaves, green chillies paste, garam masala, salt and sesame seeds. Mix well. Keep aside.
- To prepare batter in small mixing bowl add arrowroot flour,red chilli powder and salt. Add little water and prepare semi thick batter(batata wada batter consistency).
- Make equal portions balls from prepared potato dough. Flatten each potato mixture ball,stuff 1 tbsp of paneer stuffing and seal. Prepare all similarly.Keep aside.
- Dip one by one prepared stuffed potato balls in arrowroot batter. Drop-in hot oil. Deep fry on medium flame till golden brown.
- To prepare potato falli. Peel potato, grated with carrot grater. Soak in salt water for 1/2 hour. Pat dry on Kitchen towel. Divide this potato falli into two equal portions. In one portion add a drop of red food colour(optional). Mix well and keep another portion as it's (white). Deep fry individually till crispy golden. Then mix together. Keep aside. Keep all other ingredients ready to make Limbu Wada Chaat.
- At the time of serving. Cut prepare stuffed potato wada into 4 parts. Place on serving dish. On it pour khajur chutney and whisk fresh curd as required. Sprinkle fried potato falli.
- Serve/Relish Delicious Falahari Limbuwada Chaat immediately garnishing with finely chopped fresh coriander leaves.
