  1. Get 1 medium sized cauliflower or gobhi cut into florets
  2. Make ready 2 tbsp hung curd or dahi (yogurt)
  3. Get 1 tsp cashewnut,carom(ajwain) and sesame seed paste
  4. Get 1 tsp tandoori masala
  5. Prepare 1 tsp chaat masala
  6. Take 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  7. Make ready 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  8. Make ready 1/4 th tsp black pepper powder
  9. Get 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
  10. Get 1 tsp lemon juice
  11. Get 1 tsp kasoori methi crushed
  12. Make ready 1.5 tbsp roasted gramflour or sattu
  13. Take To taste salt
  14. Get 1 pinch orange red food colour
  15. Take 1 tbsp oil
Steps to make Tandoori Gobi:
  1. Cut 8-9 florets from cauliflower. Wash and smear salt.Heat water with little salt in a microsafe bowl.Immerse cauliflower in it and microwave for 1 minute.Rest it in hot water for 5 minutes then drain water completely.
  2. Grind cashew nuts sesame seeds and ajwain with curd.Mix this with ginger garlic paste,red chilli powder,black pepper powder and gram flour.Add crushed kasoori methi, little salt, oil,tandoori masala,garam masala and pinch of orange red food colour.Mix all and marinate the cauliflower florets in it for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a tandoor.Pierce the gobhi through skewers.Brush oil in the tandoori plate.Arrange the skewers in it and cook for 3 minutes.Turn over and brush little oil over cauliflower /gobi and cook for 2-3 minutes till well browned and done.Sprinkle lemon juice,chaat masala and chopped coriander.Serve hot with breads,tandoori roti or naan or as a starter with salad or coriander curd dip.
