Take brown sugar in a mixing bowl and add yogurt to it. Then add oil followed by milk and vanilla essence. How to make ragi mug cake: To a mixing bowl add all the ingredients except cooking chocolate. Mix well to form a smooth lumpfree flowing batter.

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree C for 10 mins. Grease a baking pan. Cream the sugar and yogurt until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add baking powder and baking soda and combine. Leave aside for 3 mts. You will find that bubbles appear Add vegetable oil, salt and vanilla essence and mix well. Now, slowly add sifted flour, ragi and cocoa powder and fold into the wet ingredients. All ingredients should be at room temperature. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degree C for 40 to 45 mins
  2. Cool the cake for 20-30 mts and then overturn onto a plate.
  3. Cut the cake in 2 layers. Now put a layer of icing on it.Next put another layer over it.Keep this in fridge for 2 hrs minimum.
  4. Then do the final frosting of ur choice. Keep in fridge for 4 hrs minimum before serving.

In a bowl sift the ragi flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt (if usintwice. In another bowl beat the sugar & butter till pale and fluffy. Timings will vary for each oven. Take the pan out of the oven and let it cool down a bit. Remove the cake out of the pan and transfer to a cooling rack to cool down completely.
