Aloo chaat or alu chaat is a street food originating from the Indian subcontinent, it is popular in North India, West Bengal in Eastern India, Pakistan and also in parts of Sylhet Division of Bangladesh. Steps to make Idli and aloo chaat:
  1. Take cooked idlis and cut into pieces. Take boiled potatoes and cut into pieces.
  2. Heat 4-5 spoons of oil in a pan and shallow fry the idlis and potatoes. Keep aside to cool.
  3. Take a bowl and add curd, ground sugar and little bit salt and whisk it to make it smooth.
  4. Take a platter, keep few pieces of idlis and potatoes. Top up with green and tamarind chutney, sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, pepper powder, red chilli powder, and garnish with bhujiya and pomegranate seeds.serve immediately.

Aloo Chaat is probably the easiest dish to make but it will be a grave mistake on your part to undermine its finger-lickingly good taste. Put the fried potatoes in a bowl with cumin powder, red chilli powder, salt, chaat masala and mix thoroughly. Add tamarind chutney and mint chutney according to taste.
