- Prepare 2 pinch garam masala
- Take To taste Salt
- Prepare 3 tbs oil
- Get Whole spices
- Get 1 bay leaf
- Get 1 (1 inch) cinnamon stick
- Get 2 cloves
- Prepare 2 green cardamoms
- Take 1 black cardamom
Steps to make Methi Paneer:
- In a non stick pan heat oil. Add the whole spices and sauté for few seconds till they become fragrant
- Add chopped onions and fry till golden brown on low to medium flame
- Add finger garlic paste and green chilli. Sauté well for few minutes
- Add tomato purée and fry well for few minutes till the raw aroma goes away
- Add coriander and fry for 2-3min
- Add turmeric, chilli, coriander and garam masala and fry for 3-4min
- Add in the chopped methi leaves and cook for 5 min
- Turn the flame off and add the whisked curd and stir well
- Add 1/2 cup water and mix again
- Keep the pan on stove top on low flame. Cover and cook for 10-15 min till you can see oil specks on top
- Add paneer cubes and salt and mix well
- Cover and cook for 5 min
