The ingredients needed to make Fara:
  1. Prepare 1 cup rice flour
  2. Prepare 1 cup water
  3. Get 2 tbsp ghee

  6. Take 1/4 cup urad dal
  7. Make ready 1/4 cup chana dal
  8. Get 1/4 cup moong dal
  9. Take 2-3 green chilli
  10. Get 1 tsp ginger paste
  11. Take 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  12. Take 1 tsp Coriander powder
  13. Prepare 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  14. Get 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  15. Prepare To taste salt
Steps to make Fara:
  1. Boil a cup of water in a vessel,add 2tsp ghee& a 1/2tsp of salt to it.After it has reached it's boiling point Switch off the flame.Add a cup of rice flour to it &mix well.After mixing it cover &rest for a while.Soak 3 dal 3 to 4 hours in wster.After 3 to 4 hours griend the soak dals coarsely.
  2. Add all ingredients on the dal batter &mix well.Stuffing is ready.Pour the dough in a plate & apply same ghee on your palms.Mash the dough until it reaches to it's soft texture.Divide the dough into smaller sized dough lumps &roll a dough lump between your palms.Press to give it a shape of peda &coat it with dry rice flour.Flatten the dough lump thickly into a diameter of 3to 4 inches.Cut it using a cap of container or glass,place some stuffing over it.
  3. Fold it & assemble all the Faras like wise.Preheat 2 to 3 cups of water in a vessel,place a strainer,over it &grease it with oil.Place same Fara over the strainer &cook while covering it for 10 mints medium yo high flame.The Faras has steamed cooked after 10 mints.
  4. Serve it along with green corriender chutney to enhance it's taste.
