The ingredients needed to make Fara:
- Get 1 cup urud daal soaked and dry grind
- Take 2 cups rice flour, Knead with lukewarm water
- Prepare some oil, cumin seeds, hing, salt
- Get 1 pinch black pepper crushed
- Get 2 finelly chopped green chillies
- Make ready 1 inch ginger finelly chopped
- Make ready Handful green coriander chopped
Instructions to make Fara:
- First heat pan, put oil and put tempering of cumin, green chilli, ginger, and hing, after few sec mix grind daal along with salt, green coriander, black pepper and keep mix them for few minutes until became bit dry, keep aside
- Now take a small portion (lemon size) from a rice flour dough, press between your palm and make a smooth round around 1.5 inches, take a spoonful of urad daal, keep in between that roll and make a shape of Rivoli
- After making all fara, place them on vessel for steam, it takes around 15 to 20 minutes to cook.
- After removing from gas, let cool them and if u wish you can eat as it us with chutney or you can fry them in some oil with jeera and curry leaves tempering. This is very famous in Uttar Pradesh
