  1. Wash urad dal and soak it for 2 hours at least.
  2. Grind it, not very thick nor thin. Medium consistency.
  3. Now add grated ginger, chopped green chilli and hing. Mix it well and beat it for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Now take a pan, add oil for deep frying.
  5. Make balls, make a hole in between and fry.
  6. After frying soak it in water for 1 minute.
  7. Let's prepare the dahi, beat the dahi well, add 1 cup water, mix, now add jeera red chilli powder, black salt, salt, grated ginger and mix
  8. Now take 2 green chillies and make a paste and add to the dahi.
  9. Now add the fried vadas. Soak it for minimum half an hour.
  10. Let's make aloo dum. Boil the potatoes, peel it and cut it into four pieces.
  11. Take a wok, add oil, once hot add jeera, chopped onions and fry till slight change in color.
  12. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for another 2 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and salt. Fry till tomatoes softens.
  13. Now add chopped green chillies and all the spices mentioned in the ingredients. Cook it well.
  14. Add boiled potatoes and 2 cups of water. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes and it's done.
  15. Time for plating. Take a big bowl add 2-3 dahi vada, some aloo dum and garnish it with chopped onions, chopped coriander leaves and green chilli. Add sev and serve hot.

Serve delicious Dahi Vada during Dry Dahi Vada also taste good to eat, so keep the Vadas aside which you want to eat dry and soak the others in curd.
