I am sharing the Basic rava upma version here. I love having it with sugar/jaggery powder. Drain well and grind to a smooth batter. Add salt, jeera and grated coconut.

  1. Soak rice for 2 hours. After 2 hours drain water completely.
  2. Pressure cook toor dal for 4 whistles.
  3. Grind the ingredients into a smooth batter by adding water.
  4. Batter should be liquid consistency so that it will be easy to spread in dosa tawa.
  5. From outside to inside pour batter in dosa tawa and spread oil evenly.
  6. Once all the dosas are ready cut them into small pieces.
  7. Heat the kadai and add the ingredients to temper.
  8. Now add the pressure cooked dal to it. Add turmeric powder.
  9. Add the sliced dosa pieces into the kadai.
  10. Mix well to evenly spread. Check whether salt is needed.
  11. Now the delicious coconut dosa recipe is ready to serve.
