The ingredients needed to make Vetki Korma:
  1. Prepare 700 gms Vetki Fish
  2. Take 2 medium sized onion
  3. Make ready 2 teaspoon curd/Yoghurt
  4. Take 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  5. Prepare 6 pieces cashews
  6. Get 4 teaspoon Refined oil
  7. Prepare 1 teaspoon Ghee
  8. Take As required Garam Masala
  9. Prepare Few cloves
  10. Make ready as required cinamom
  11. Take as required Elaichi
  12. Take 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  13. Prepare 1 teaspoon sugar
  14. Take To taste Salt
  15. Prepare 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
Steps to make Vetki Korma:
  1. Clean throughly the vetki fish pieces then marinate with salt & turmeric powder.
  2. Fry the pieces in medium flame & keep aside.
  3. Make a smooth paste of 1 medium sized onion and also cut one in peices.
  4. Make a smooth paste of poppy seeds & Cashews.
  5. Give Refined oil in the pan or kadai & add the garam masalas in medium flame,after that add the chopped medium sized onion in to the pan & fry in golden brown colour.
  6. Add 2 teaspoon of Yoghurt or curd in the pan & also add the onion paste with it,cook for 4 to five minutes after that add salt,red chilli powder with it & cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Add the poppy seeds & cashews paste in to pan or kadai & cook it until the the oil come out from the masala mixture & the colour of the gravy should be changed as little darkish.
  8. Now add some water in to the gravy & let it boil,after that put the all fried fish pieces & also add 1 teaspoon of ghee with the gravy & keep it in low flame for 5 minutes also cover with a lid on the pan/kadai.
  9. After 5 minutes open the lid & an amazing smell will be come out from the preparation.Now the Vetki Korma dish is ready to serve.
