The ingredients needed to make Chorizo Pizza:
  1. Take 1 1/2 cup gluten-free biscuit mix
  2. Make ready 1/2 cup Yellow cornmeal
  3. Take 1 cup water
  4. Take 6 oz chorizo
  5. Prepare 8 oz Tomato sauce
  6. Prepare 1/4 tsp salt
  7. Take 1 dash pepper
  8. Make ready 6 oz shredded Mozzarella
Instructions to make Chorizo Pizza:
  1. Mix biscuit mix, cornmeal, & water together until soft dough forms. Press into greased pie plate, bringing dough up the sides.
  2. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  3. Cook chorizo in skillet until sausage is firm, about 10 minutes. Drain. Return to skillet. Add tomato sauce, salt, & pepper. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat. Simmer uncovered until slightly thickened, 5-7 minutes. Spread in crust.
  4. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake until crust is golden brown, 15-18 minutes. Let set 5 minutes, then serve.
  5. Notes: if you use regular biscuit mix, use half the amount of water.
  6. Note: if you choose you could add onions & Green chilies when you start cooking the meat. You could also top the whole pizza with olives before putting in oven.
