  1. Get Basmati/Jeerakasala Rice
  2. Prepare Ghee
  3. Take Sliced Onion
  4. Get Green Chillies
  5. Take Ginger-Garlic Paste (Optional)

  9. Get Bay Leaves

Instructions to make Ghee Rice:
  1. Heat the ghee & add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, bay leaves, fennel, star anise & crushed pepper. Saute for two minutes.
  2. Add the chopped onion & sliced chillies into it. Cook till onions are translucent.
  3. This step is optional. You can skip it, if you don't want to add ginger-garlic paste to the onions, else add it. Saute.
  4. Add rice to the pan & stir fry for two minutes. Add water, salt & turmeric powder. When the water starts boiling, add the mint leaves. Close the lid & cook it till all the water is gone. Stir occasionally.
  5. When the rice is done, garnish with mint & coriander leaves.
