The ingredients needed to make Mango Phirni:
  1. Take 1 litre milk
  2. Get 1/2 cup sugar
  3. Get 4 tbsp rice
  4. Prepare 2 mangoes
  5. Take 1 pinch cardamom powder
  6. Take 1 tbsp cashew/almond paste
Steps to make Mango Phirni:
  1. Soak rice in water for about 1/2hr and then grind them coarse.
  2. Heat a pan and boil the milk, after getting boiled add the rice paste to it and stir well. Cook the phirni for about 10 minutes by continuously stirring.
  3. Let it cook for some time, meanwhile peel and chop some mangoes and make a purée out of it. Cook this purée with sugar on medium flame for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add this cooked mango purée to the phirni & mix well. Here you can also add a tbsp of cashew/almond paste. However this step is optional.
  5. Once mixed well add cardamom powder and give it a stir once again. You can serve this phirni in mud pots or glassware anything which is available. Garnish it with some mango purée or chopped mangoes as shown in the picture.
