- Mix until combined or gently pulls away from the bowl but a little sticky.
- In a lightly oiled bowl add dough and cover for an hour or until doubled it's size.
- Punch down the dough to release the gas.
- Pour a little bit of oil on the counter station and place the dough on top.
- Roll into a log cutting them into 6 equal pieces forming a ball.
- Flatten the ball on the counter or placing it on your palm.
- Add about 1 Tablespoon of filling in the middle.
- Now seal the deal by pulling the dough up and sealing the edges. (after I seal it I make a twist to hold the filling) Seam side down.
- On medium heat add enough oil to cover the bottom of pan.
- Place 1 or 2 balls seam side down and press the dough down to flatten using a spatula or a press.
- Brown both sides and serve.
- Be careful while biting into the hotteok it's hot but at the same time damn good.
- Notes: Use any nuts you like. If the filling is not fully melted place a lid on the pan and lower the temperature for a few minutes.
