The ingredients needed to make Ghee Roast Podi Dosa:
- Make ready 1 cup Dosa Batter(this will be for three dosas)
- Take As needed ghee per dosa (you can add more)
- Take 1 tbsp Podi powder - Chana Idli podi
- Get as per your liking Coconut chutney
Batter recipe is same like plain dosa or Masala dosa. The only major difference is that while making dosa, you must spread it well for thin and crisp ghee roast/nei roast. Let it be fermented atleast for six hrs. Make Dosa in Dosa griddle, spreal ghee on the dosa and sprinkle the dal powder on the top of dosa.
Instructions to make Ghee Roast Podi Dosa:
- Heat the dosa Tawa and Sprinkle some water. Wipe it with a kitchen towel or a cotton cloth
- Take a ladle full of batter and spread the dosa in concentric circles.
- Take podi in a separate bowl and mix little ghee. Spread the podi evenly over the dosa using a spoon.
- Drizzle ghee generously on the sides and allow to cook till the dosa becomes crisp and golden.
- If you wish to serve it as a cone dosa cut it from one side till the center as shown in the picture and fold it like a cone.
- This dosa does not require any side dish,but I served it with coconut chutney.
Let it be roast and cook for few mts. Fold dosa in to two and serve hot with chutney/sambar/dosa podi. This Mangalorean chicken ghee roast goes well with neer dosa and also can be had with rice or roti. Dry roasted ground spices are marinated along with curd, chicken, and cooked in ghee for a rich and delicious flavor. The following steps should be noted while making this chicken ghee roast.
