- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a plan and add mustard seeds let them Splutter
- Immediately add chana dal, urad dal, green chillies and curry leaves
- Saute' till dals become golden
- Now add suji and mix well for sometime
- Now divide sauteed suji in 3 equal portions
- Take one portion of Suji in pan and add 2 tablespoon of water, add salt according to taste… mix well and cook covered for next 5 minutes white colour upma is ready. Remove it from pan.
- Now add second portion of suji, add carrot tomato carrot puree to it and salt according to taste…mix well and cook covered for next 5 minutes… Saffron coloured Upma is ready. Remove it from pan
- Now take third portion of suji, add coriander mint leaves puree to it. Add salt according to taste, mix well and cook cover for next 5 minutes. Green coloured Upma is ready, remove it from pan.
- Now arrange the three colours of Upma in such a way to make Indian flag
- First, prepare a band of orange colour Upma then, prepare a second bamd by white colour of Upma and the last and third band with the green colour Upma.
- In the middle of white coloured band, prepare Ashok Chakra by using some cloves
- Prepare the stick of flag by using almonds
- Tiranga Meri Shaan is ready for display
