  2. Get 1 cup water
  3. Take 1 cup Sugar
  4. Take 3-4 Cardomom

  6. Make ready 2 cups Ghee
  7. Take 175 g Powder Milk
  8. Take 1 tsp Baking soda
  9. Prepare 3 tbsp Purpose flour
Instructions to make Gulab Jaman:
  1. In a small pot dissolve the sugar in one glass of water. Boil for about 3 minutes and remove from heat. Separately mix 1 tbsp ghee, powder milk, flour, 3-4 tbsp of water for making dough.
  2. Knead and make soft smooth dough. Then shape into round balls. Make sure the surface of the balls is free of cracks. Then heat the frying pan on low heat.
  3. To taste the temperature of the ghee add 1 ball. It should slowly rise to the surface from the bottom pf the pan with a touch of spoon. (If the ball doesnot rise to the surface then the ghee need to rise and the ghee should be heated more. Gulab Jamans fried in ziyada hot oil will have their centre uncooked and hard.)
  4. Add the balls at the right temperature of ghee. Take a round sieved spoon and turn the balls by rotating the bottom edge of spoon against the top of the balls. Keep rotating until Jamans turn light golden. Remove fat from Jamans and add to hot sugar syrup. (Heat the sugar syrup on low heat while frying the Jamans.)
  5. Cook the Jamans in syrup for 3 minutes on very low heat. Remove from heat and allow to cool down.
  6. Gulab Jamans are ready to serve.
