The ingredients needed to make Guliyappa:
- Get 4 cups Dosa batter(will soon share a recipe to make this)
- Make ready 1 inch Ginger
- Take 10 curry leaves
- Prepare Coriander leaves 0.25 cup
- Take 1 onion
- Take 1 tsp sugar
- Take 1 tsp salt
- Prepare 0.5 tsp Hing
Preparation: Guliyappa is made by frying regular dosa batter in a special purpose pan. Paddu or Guliyappa Preparation; I have found that the non-stick Guliyappa pans available in the departmental stores help prepare really tasty and crispy Guliyappas. Heat the Guliyappa Pan and grease all moulds with oil. Now slowly pour the batter into each of the moulds with the help of ladle/table spoon.
Instructions to make Guliyappa:
- Mix the dosa batter with sugar+pinch hing+ 1 chilli + ginger + coriander leaves + onion+ rava (semolina 1 tsp if reqd to make batter thick) + salt + curry leaves
- Now pour the batter to Appe / guliyappa pan. Grease it with oil and cook it on both sides. Serve hot with chutney
