The ingredients needed to make Gulab Jamun:
- Make ready Khoya half kg
- Get Maida 4 tbsp +2 tbsp
- Prepare 4 tbsp milk powder
- Take pinch baking soda
- Take egg 1 beaten
- Take Semolina (sujji) 1 tsp soak in 1 tsp milk
- Make ready For Sugar Syrup
- Get 2 cup sugar
- Get water 3 and hlf cup
- Get 3-4 elaichi
- Make ready 1 tsp lemon juice
- Get saffron pinch (optional)
- Take 2 cup Oil or ghee
Steps to make Gulab Jamun:
- Make sugar syrup by Adding everything in pan and cook until sugar dissolve and half cup water reduce then keep it on dum. (sugar syrup should be warm when gulab jàmun added in it.) Please note that it should not be thick.
- Rub khoya with ur hand palm gently to make it smooth. - now add 4 tbsp flour, milk powder, baking soda and one beaten egg make a smooth dough add more flour if needed - (dough ko us waqt tak achay se gondhein ke wo khud hathoon se chipakna chorde) - keep in refregerator for half hour atleast..
- Now make a small dough make a small size smooth ball. (balls become double in size afterwards) - - take a thick bottom pan add Oil and let it warm at med high flame.
- When oil become hot turn flame at med low and put balls one by one dont over crowded the pan.. - - after putting ball in oil shake the pot slowly with handle for even colour dont use spoon.
- When ball become gulabi in colour take them out from oil carefully and bring at room temp then add in sugar water (sheera). After putting balls in sugar water cook for 10 mins in very low flame. After 10 mins turn off the flame and Let balls soaked in sugar water for atleast 6 hours or overnight. Garnish with pistachio and serve.
