Instructions to make Chana Dal Halwa Recipe:
- Soak the gram dal in water for 3 hours. - Then take out all the water and put it in a thick sieve so that the remaining water can drain as well.
- For milk - Meanwhile, keep the milk in a heavy bottom vessel to heat it when the milk is boiled, put the flame on low, keep stirring the milk time to time, so that the milk does not burnt when the milk is reduced to half then turn off the gas.
- To roast the lentil(chana dal) - - Put 2 teaspoons of ghee in a pan and heat it, then add gram dal and stirring continuously on high flame to roast the lentils, which will remove all the moisture content of pulses.
- This process can take approximately 7 to 8 minutes.
- It is a matter of note that the colour of lentil should remain golden, it should not be burnt.
- The gram dal will be completely ready you can check it by pressing it in your finger. - Now put this lentil in a plate and keep it cool.
- To make the syrup: - - - In this step, finely cut dry fruits. - Grate the coconut. - Heat it in the oven for 1 minute and then keep it out for cooling out or roast them in a vessel in the gas so that their moisture is released.
- Now put sugar and water in a vessel to warm up and keep stirring continuously until sugar dissolves
- Now add turmeric powder and cardamom powder to it.
- Put chopped dried fruits. - sugar syrup is ready.
- For making halwa - Now we will grind roasted lentil in a mixer. - Now add half the remaining ghee in the vessel and mix the dal coarsely and roast on medium flame.
- Add half of the milk to the dal
- And mix it when the dal has soaked all the milk then the halwa will start gathering in the vessel.
- Put the syrup in it and keep stirring continuously.
- Now add remaining ghee in it and stir continuously for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Finally, put rose water in the halwa and turn off the gas and mix it well.
- Hot- Hot Chana dal halwa is ready.
- NOTE:-I never use artificial colors of food and you will not at all that there is turmeric in it.
