- Prepare 1/4 TSP black salt

- Prepare For the curd
- Make ready 1 cup curd
- Prepare 1/2 Tsp sugar
- Get 1/2 Tsp salt
- Make ready 1/4 TSP bhuna jeera (roasted cumin)powder
Steps to make Aloo tikki:
- For the tikkis boil the potatoes, peel and mash nicely.
- Dip the bread slices in water, remove the sides and squeeze out all the water. Add the dipped bread, cornflour, salt and red chili powder to the boiled and mashed potatoes.
- Mix well to make a smooth dough. make small rounds of this Dough and press a little to get a patty. I dust my hands with a little cornflour while doing this. This ensures the dough doesn't stick to my hands.
- Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the tikkis till golden brown and crispy on the outside. You can shallow fry as well. Serve immediately with green chutney, mithi chutney and curd.
- For green chutney add all the ingredients to a mixer jar and grind till smooth using a little water.
- For the mithi chutney, mix sugar, water and amchoor powder in a heavy bottomed pot. Bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes. Cool and sieve the mixture to remove any impurities. Add salt, red chili powder, bhuna jeera powder, black salt and pepper. Cool.
- For the curd, add salt, sugar and bhuna jeera powder and whisk the curd till smooth.
- Serve the chutneys and curd with hot aloo tikki.
