  7. Make ready 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  8. Make ready 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  9. Get 1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves

Choliya / Fresh Green Chanas are popular in all parts of the world however, mostly people are familiar with beige color chickpeas, popularly known as garbanzo beans. Green chana or green garbanzo, most commonly known as Punjabi choliya is entirely different from its counterpart, its fresh. Add splashes of water to prevent burning. Heat a dutch oven or heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat.

Steps to make Green chana curry:
  1. In a kadhai take chana,peanuts,garlic,green chillies and dry roast with lid covered for 5-8 mins. Take it in mixer jar add coriander leaves and grind to smooth paste
  2. Add water if required while grinding. In a kadhai heat oil add cumin and the paste and saute till oil oozes.add turmeric powder and red chilli powder, coriander powder and saute.
  3. Add water and salt and bring to boil
  4. Ready to serve with any bhakri/roti or hot rice
