Take one small tadka pan add 1 teaspoon oil heat it add garlic pieces and 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon finely chopped onion roast till garlic and onion turned brown colour add this tadka in cooked dal cover the pan immediately. After 5 minutes open lid and serve hot dal with rice or chapati.
