Instructions to make Mixed Dal Tadka:
  1. Take mixed dal & wash it properly. Soak mix dal overnight.
  2. Take a pressure cooker & heat water. Add soaked mix dal, turmeric powder, salt. Pressure cook the dal up to 3-4 whistles.
  3. Take a blender jar & add garlic, ginger, tomatoes, cumin seeds, dried red chillies. Then blend it. Take aside.
  4. Make a fine paste.
  5. Heat pan & add refined oil, bay leaf, chopped green chillies.
  6. Then add sliced onions. Saute it till golden brown.
  7. Then add masala paste (blending stuff), salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder. Cook it for 5 minutes (medium flame).
  8. Keep stirring.
  9. Add boiled mix dal, garam masala, chopped coriander leaves. Cook it for 2 minutes.
  10. Make sure it doesnt stick at the bottom.
  11. Switch off the flame. Finally, add butter. Now ready to serve.
