Moong Dal Khichdi is a healthy and comforting meal made with rice and lentils. For those unaware, khichdi is a complete meal made with rice and lentils which are pressure cooked together and in. Thadka gives amazing flavor to the kichdi. If you are cooking in a pot then Soak the lentils for one hour ,put it into the pot or else you can directly cook in pressure cooker.
Instructions to make Double tadka khichdi:
- Wash daal, rice properly. then add all veggies (cabbage, capsicum, carrot, tomato, beans), turmeric powder, salt and cook in a pressure cooker with 4 whistles.

- Now take a mixer grinder. Combine tomato, mint, coriander leaves and make a puree. Now heat oil add cumin seeds, red chilli, bay leaf, curry leaves, when exported then add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and cook until the oil gets a separate and tomato puree is cooked.
- Then add cooked khichdi required in water then add salt and mix well. At last add coriander leaves and lemon juice. When you want to serve then take another pan and add butter, little red chilli powder, little garam masala and pour on khichdi and serve hot.
