Instructions to make Dal Tadka Punjabi Dhaba Style Dal:
- Wash and soak dal for 15 mins. After that boil it in pressure cooker adding 3 cup of water for 2 whistle adding pinch salt and turmeric.
- Once boil and pressure cools down check and mash the dal.
- Dal masala- take a pan add oil add jeera once it crackle add chopped onions fry until slightly brown add chopped tomatoes and saute for 2 minutes. Add ginger garlic and mix it and saute for 2 mins. Add dry masala salt and saute. Add lilte water and bring dal to a boil. Cook dal for 5 mins in low flame Once it cooked properly off the flame
- White serving dal give one last tempering.. take a pan add ghee once it get heat add chopped garlic, jeera, dry red chiili and lilte dry chilli powder once it get turns brown pour the tempering over the dal and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.. Dal tadka is ready to serve. Serve it with jeera rice or roti as per your choice.
