- Get 1/2 tsp dhania powder
- Get 1/4 tsp haldi powder

- Prepare 1 tbsp dahi
- Prepare 1/2 tsp sugar
- Prepare to taste Salt
Instructions to make Chana Dal Tadka:
- Take a pressure cooker, add dal & all the given ingredients.
- Place the lid, add water accordingly so as to keep dal a lil thick.
- Give 6-7 whistles, lower the flame, cook it for 5-7 minutes. Let it cool, keep aside.
- Now take a wok or pan, add ghee, heat it.
- Add tejpatta & dalchini, saute it for a sec.
- Add dry red chilli & zeera, saute it for a while.
- Now add onion & coconut pcs, stir fry it till light brown.
- Add ginger, saute it for a while.
- Now add tomato & very little salt, sprinkle some water, stir fry it till tomato becomes mashy.
- Add haldi, dhania & garam masala powder, stir it nicely, add lil water also.
- Now add curd & sugar, stir it for a while
- Lower the flame now, cover it with the lid b, cook it until ghee has oozed out.
- Now add dal, give a quick stir.
- Give a boil at high flame. Lower the flame now, cook it for 5 minutes.
- Turn off the flame now, take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped dhania patta.
- It's a main course dish.
