- Take 500 g Potato
- Make ready 2 tsp (soaked) Posto/ poppy seed
- Prepare 2-3 Green chillies
- Take 2 Dry red chillies

- Take 1 pinch Turmeric powder
- Take 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- Make ready 1/4 tsp Garam masala

- Soak posto in warm water
- Peel potato, wash and cut in small cubes..fry in hot oil
- Fry till golden brown… remove from oil and keep aside
- Drain water from posto…take posto and green chillies in a jar.. grind it and make a paste..add some water if required
- Heat oil on medium flame…fry dry red chillies
- Keep flame low.. add posto paste..and stir well for a minute
- Add masale and stir well
- Add fried potato pieces..mix well in posto…cook for a minute
- Add half cup water…mix potato and cook for 5 minutes on medium low flame
- Begali Aloo-Posto is ready… serve hot with roti
