  1. Get 250 g Sweet potato
  2. Make ready 1/2 tsp salt
  3. Take 1/4 tsp baking soda
  4. Make ready 2 tbspn maidha/flour
  5. Take Oil for deep frying
  6. Take Sugar syrup
  7. Make ready 2 cups sugar
  8. Get 4 cups water
  9. Take 3 cardamom pods (crushed)
  10. Make ready 1 pinch Salt
Instructions to make Sweet potato Gulab Jamun:
  1. Take sweet potatoes and pressure cook for 2 whistles adding salt.
  2. To make sugar syrup add sugar,salt, cardamom and water. Boil this till syrupy. Set apart to cool.
  3. Cool and peel sweetpotato smash well without any lumps.
  4. Add maidha and baking soda. Knead together.
  5. Take a small portion and roll gently between palms into smooth balls.
  6. Heat oil in pan and drop the balls. Deep fry evenly till brown.
  7. Drain and set aside. The jamun is ready to be dropped in sugar syrup.
  8. Soak in sugar syrup for at least 2 hours. Enjoy!
