- Prepare 2 cup idli batter
- Take 1 cup besan
- Take 1/2 cup sour curd
- Take 1 tbs ginger chilli paste

- Make ready 1 tbs sugar
- Take 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- Get 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions to make Khatta dhokla:
- Mix curd & besan in bowl. Now add to idli batter, mix well. Keep aside from 4-5 hours.
- Add ginger chilli paste, turmeric powder, asafoetida, sugar & salt. Mix till sugar dissolve.
- Now add baking soda, mix and transfer to greased plate, sprinkle red chilli powder & sesame seeds and steam for 15 minutes. Now apply oil on dhokla and cut into desired pieces. Serve with chutney.
