- Blanch the Spinach leaves and green chillies. Grind into a fine paste.
- Wash the rice and soak for 20 mins.
- Heat oil. Add bay leaf and cumin seeds & saute.
- Add grated ginger, asafoetida powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Saute on low flame.
- Now add the spinach paste. Cook till oil separates.
- Add frozen green peas and salt. Stir cook for 1 min.
- Add 2.25 cups of hot water and rice(drain out water completely).
- Once the rice absorbs 3/4 th of water, top with tomatoes.
- Cover and cook for 15 min on lowest flame.
- Offer Spinach and Green Peas Pulao to Lord Sri Krishna and honor Krishna Prasadam.
