They are best eaten hot so you get the best of that. Moong Dal Vada recipe here is made with green moong dal or green gram which is a whole green gram and not the split one. It has been soaked for hours before making the actual vada. Parippu vada or Dal vada, to describe in three simple words - spicy, crunchy and yummy.

Instructions to make Dal vada:
  1. Take the moong dal with peels wash it 3-4 times then soak it for 3-4 hours. (If urgency soak it in boil water it's take 1&1/2 hours. After that rub it remove most of the peels from moong dal.
  2. Grind it.
  3. Then grind green chilli & ginger. Mix it in batter.
  4. Add crushed coriander seed & salt & black pepper powder and mix it in batter.
  5. Add chopped coriander leaves in it.
  6. Add 1-2 tsp of curd & mix it.
  7. Take kadhai and pour oil heat it. After heating put the small small balls shapes batter in it. Fry it till dark golden colour.
  8. Serve it with tomato ketchup and green chilli
