- Make ready 1 cup Moong Dal
- Take 1/4 cup Water
- Get 3 tbsp Rice Flour

- Get 2 tbsp Onion (Finely Chopped)
- Prepare 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves (Finely Chopped)

Instructions to make Moong Dal Vada:
- Wash and soak moong dal for 4 to 5 hours.
- Drain out the water and blend to a smooth paste adding 1/4 cup water.
- Transfer the moong dal batter into a mixing bowl.
- Add 3 tbsp rice flour for crispy vadas and more if you require thick batter.
- Add green chillies, ginger, onion, coriander leaves, cumin powder and salt. Mix well.
- Add baking soda and give it a good mix.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Dip you hand in water and start dropping the batter one by one into the hot oil.
- Keep the flame low to medium. Stir occasionally. Fry the vadas till they turn golden brown.
- Drain the vada on to a kitchen towel to absorb the oil.
- Serve Moong Dal Vada hot with any chutney or sauce.
