  1. Rinse, wash and soak the dals for 4 hours.
  2. Then grind them together to make thick batter.
  3. Add oats powder in it. Then add baking soda in them and mix it well.
  4. Grease the appam pan with oil and pour batter in it.
  5. Cook both the sides of the vadas.
  6. Soak them in salt water.
  7. Beat the curd Wel land salt, crushed ginger chilli paste in it and mix it well.
  8. Then for tampering put oil in a ladle and then add panch phoran in it.
  9. When the mustard in the panch phoran crackles then add the curry leaves and red chilli in it.
  10. Add beaten curd over the vadas and add the temper over it.
  11. Roast cumins and red chilli and make a powder of it.
  12. Your mixed dal oats dahi vada are ready. Serve it by sprinkling some roasted cumin and red chilli powder.
