  15. Make ready 4 Red Tomatoes medium sized
  16. Take 1/4 cup Chopped Onions
  17. Take 2 tablespoons Olive Oil / Any Oil
  18. Take 2 tsp Finely chopped Garlic
  19. Get 2 tsp Basil Leaves / Tulsi Leaves 2 tsp
  20. Take 3/4 tsp Salt
  21. Make ready 1 tsp Sugar
  22. Make ready 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirchi
  23. Get 1/2 tsp Oregano
  24. Make ready 1/4 tsp Chilli Flakes
  25. Take 1/4 tsp Mixed Herbs (Optional)
  26. Prepare 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  27. Take 2 tsp Tomato Sauce (Ketchup)
  28. Get as required Water for Boiling
Steps to make Italian Dal Vada:
  1. Soak 1 cup of Chickpeas (Chana Dal) for two hrs. After 2 hrs, strain the Chana Dal completely from Water with the help of Sieve (chalni) and keep ¼ cup of Chana Dal aside.
  2. In a mixer grinder take the remaining soaked Chana Dal; add 2 to 3 small green Chillies, 1 tsp of chopped Ginger, 2 small dry Red Chillies, few Curry Leaves and grind into a coarse paste.
  3. In a mixing bowl, take the grinded Chana Dal paste, add ½ cup of chopped Onions, ¼ cup of Chana Dal, ¼ cup of chopped Coriander Leaves, ½ tsp of Red Chilli Flakes, ¼ tsp of Black Pepper Powder, ½ tsp of Salt, ¼ tsp of Oregano, 2 tsp of Rice Flour and mix well.
  4. Then grease your hands with few drops of Oil and start making the small round ball sized and slightly flatten the Vada.
  5. Heat the Oil to deep-fry the Vadas. Put the Vadas into heating Oil and fry on medium flame until golden brown then remove the Vadas on kitchen towel to remove excess oil.
  6. In a heating pan, keep Water to boil, then take four washed medium-sized Red Tomatoes and remove the edges. Give a slit X mark on bottom of it, then put in a boiling water, cover with the lid and boil for 4 Mins or until Tomatoes’ skin can be removed.
  7. Then remove the Tomatoes from boiling Water, peel off the skin of Tomatoes and mash into puree with the help of masher.
  8. In cooking pan, add 2 tablespoon of Olive Oil or any Oil, 2 tsp of finely chopped Garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 Min. Then add ¼ cup of chopped Onions and fry until turns golden brown. Then add mashed Tomato puree and stir for few mins.
  9. Furthermore, add ¾ tsp of Salt, ½ tsp of Red Chilli Powder, ½ tsp of Oregano, ¼ tsp of Chilli Flakes, ¼ tsp of mixed herbs, ¼ tsp of Black Pepper Powder, 1 tsp of Sugar, 2 tsp of roughly chopped fresh Basil leaves and mix well and stir for 2 Mins.
  10. Now cover the lid and simmer the sauce on low flame for 5 min or until sauce turns thick.
  11. Now for platting pour 1 tsp of Pizza Sauce, place Dal Vada over it adn garnish with Cheese spread and Basil leaves.
