- Soak the rice in water for half hour.
- Pour oil in the Pan and heat it. Put chopped garlic in it. then put chopped onion and cummin seeds in it.When it is brown in colour put chana daal in it.
- Now put rice in it. now pour 3 bowl water and salt in it. Cook it on high flame for 5min. then cook 10 minutes on low flame. Now it is ready to eat.serve with curd or kadhi.
Chana daal is a very healthy and delicious lentil preparation. It is quite easy to make and goes well with rice, poori and roti's. You can pressure the soaked daal or cook it in a pan. The cooked daal is added in a tomato gravy and few basic spices are added in the daal. You can avoid chana dal in the recipe.
