- Cut the daikon into 8 mm pieces, the carrot into 5 mm pieces. Cut the konnyaku into thin, rectangles and lightly boil to remove the astringent taste.
- Add Step 3 to the pot from Step 2 and simmer until the vegetables have become tender (about 20-30 minutes). Remove the Japanese leek and the ginger.
- Lastly, flavor with the miso, soy sauce, and mirin.
