The ingredients needed to make Moong Dal Vada:
  1. Prepare 250 gm Moong dal
  2. Get 3-4 green chillies
  3. Make ready 1 inch ginger
  4. Get 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  5. Take 1 tsp Fresh coriander leaves
  6. Get 1 tsp whole coriander seeds
  7. Prepare 1 tsp cumin seeds
  8. Get As needed water

Steps to make Moong Dal Vada:
  1. Rinse Moong dal 4-5 times & soak in water for 4-5 hrs. Then rinse again & remove the water.
  2. In a grinder mixer jar add Moong dal, green chillies, salt, ginger, asafoetida, whole coriander seeds & grind it well.
  3. Add chopped coriander leaves, aniseeds to the batter & mix it well. Add little water if required
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Pour small portions of batter in medium hot oil to make vadas.
  5. Once it is fried from one side flip another side to fry it. After some time when it is done remove it from oil & fry another batch of vadas.
  6. Your hot crispy, tasty vadas are ready to be served. Serve hot with tomato sauce, green chutney or tamarind chutney.
