- Prepare 1.5 cup yogurt
- Prepare 2 Green chillies
- Get 1 tsp Chilli powder
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- Prepare 1 tsp Salt
- Make ready 3 tbsp Tempering oil
- Prepare 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- Take 1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds
- Get 2 Cloves
- Get 1 Bay leaf
Steps to make Colourful Gatta Curry:
- First crush coriander and fennel seeds.
- Take a bowl add gram flour crushed seeds, and mix all ingredients listed for making gattas.
- Mix well and make a tight dough and some more yoghurt if needed.
- Divide dough into 4 portion add pinch of food colour mix well.
- Make balls from the dough and roll them to make long medium thick rolls.
- Boil 2.5 glasses of water in a pan when it start boiling than add the rolls in it.
- Boil for 7-10 minutes.Take out gatta from the pan and let them cool down for 5- 6 minutes.
- Don't throw this boiling water you will need this to add in the gravy.
- Slice into medium pieces and keep aside.
- For Gravy):- Heat oil in a pan add cumin, fenugreek, asafoetida, cloves,bay.leaf stir for few seconds.Now add all the spices.
- Remove pan from heat add whisked yoghurt and stir well.
- Now put pan on heat and saute for a minute.
- Now add 1 cup gattas boiling water cook for a minute.
- Now add sliced gattas simmer for a minutes add garam masala.
- Serve hot with bajra or wheat flour prarthas or poori.
